Certified PROFIBUS Engineer and Installer Training

PI, in cooperation with the Regional PI Associations and the PICCs, offer the PROFIBUS Certification Course. This course is an intensive, hands-on, several-day training program. Attendees who passed the final test will receive an official PROFIBUS Certified Network Engineer or Certified Installer Certificate. The course provides a mixture of theory of the PROFIBUS protocol and ‘hands-on’ problem-solving exercises. Since it is highly technical in nature, the prerequisites for paticipation are:

• Industrial automation background (PLC programming and/or experience with fieldbus systems)
• Familiarity with basic communication terms and features
• An understanding of RS-485, repeaters, addressing, etc.

Web-Based Training

This eLearning course gives you an introduction to the communication part and makes you familiar with the fundamental characteristics of PROFIBUS. You will also learn how to estimate the field of application.
You will learn about the bus access procedure, the data exchange and by using examples the engineering and configuration of PROFIBUS.
